My Creative journey

I have loved photography since I was very young and got my first camera at age twelve. I followed that passion to a media arts program in high school, where I learned so much more about different skills spanning across the creative industry. From there, I started my college journey majoring in photojournalism to follow my passion for photography.

As you can see from my resume, that did not really pan out. I discovered that the journalism side of the program was not my forte. I began looking at other ways to express my creativity, and that’s when I discovered my inner artist. Since then, I have dove in head first trying to learn everything I can to further my skill set and pursue my passion for intentional design.

I decided on advertising as my major because art with a purpose was right up my alley. In that program, I learned the importance of data-driven market research along with the different aspects of building a campaign. Another thing that was stressed in the program was a brand’s online presence and how important user experience was to market a company successfully. This led me to add a user experience certificate to my course load, where I learned the basics of web design.

Since graduation, I have gained professional experience in the cannabis technology industry, completing a wide range of creative projects and pulling knowledge for every part of my creative journey. I have grown tremendously over the last two years, and I can not wait to continue to progress my creative skills even further. From sales collateral to 42-foot-long bus wraps, I can say with confidence that I am always up for the task.
